Asharqia Chamber launches the "Initiative to Support and Empower the Contracting Sector 2023", with the participation of 38 trainees

Asharqia Chamber, represented by the Training Center, in cooperation with the Contracting Committee, launched the "Initiative to Support and Empower the Contracting Sector 2023", which aims to develop the skills of private sector employees, on Monday evening, July 24, 2023, and it will last for two days.

The initiative was launched in the presence of a member of the Board of Directors of the Asharqia Chamber, the Chairman of the Contracting Committee, Hamad bin Hammoud Al-Hammad, and the Secretary-General, Abdul Rahman bin Abdullah Al-Wabel.
The initiative presents the first program - within a series of subsequent programs - entitled "Arbitration Mechanisms in Contracting Contracts", as the programs aim to raise the level of job performance And the development of the knowledge and skills of national competencies in keeping with the aspirations of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030, and 38 employees of various companies specialized in the field of contracting in the eastern region participate in it. The program is provided by the legal advisor Fares bin Muhammad Al-Shammari, and the trainee deserves a certificate approved by the Technical and Vocational Training Corporation after completing the training hours.

For this part, Al-Hammad said: In this regard, we see that development and growth in the contracting sector are centered to a large extent on the human element, through which planning, implementation, and development take place, and based on this initiative, the Asharqia Chamber represented by the Contracting Committee continues to perform its roles to advance this sector, which is one of the economic sectors that most attract the workforce in general and the national one in particular, and therefore it carries added value to our national economy through its support for Emiratisation efforts.
The program aims to identify the legal nature and method of resolving disputes for the contracting contract and its affiliated contracts in light of the presence of the arbitration clause and how to address the problem of the contract and its procedures in the event of the presence of multiple parties. The most important challenges related to construction contract disputes and arbitration procedures in contracting contracts are the extent to which the arbitration clause extends to others, and the trainees are subject to practical applications.
